The ultimate Mama’s Night Off! Thursday 10th March 2022 saw 50 women come together in North Oxfordshire to celebrate all things motherhood, mental health and wellbeing to mark the launch of The Mama Diary – the 12-month journal for new mums that focuses on mental health and wellbeing in the first year of motherhood.
Bloxham Mill’s gorgeous Hive space provided the perfect venue for an evening of relaxation, talks, pampering and connecting over drinks and delicious food.
The event was themed around some of the core topics from The Mama Diary, and included:
Self-care: Mini pamper treatments including head, hand, or shoulder massage, plus yummy food and drink
Support: We co-created a ‘village’ installation on the night – more on this to come!
Fun: There was ample opportunity to catch up with friends, connect with other mums and two lucky winners took home prize bundles kindly donated by POP!
Dr Carla spoke on the topic of how to go about creating a village that meets your needs in motherhood – from pregnancy through to the early school years.
Our brilliant buffet was provided by Mrs Teas of Adderbury, two local women who set up a small catering business during lockdown and are now flourishing. Sweet treats were kindly donated by Emily from Flour and Flo – check them out for letterbox bakes that are honestly divine.
The evening raised money for the local Homestart organisation from all proceeds from ticket sales and book sales on the evening.
More to come on the wonderful village co-created on the night..!
